Festival Internacional de Titelles de Gavà

Companies from all over the world come together at the Festival Internacional de Titelles de Gavà (Gavà International Puppet Festival), one of the city's major cultural events. Since its first edition in 1990, the festival has continued to grow, becoming a much-loved event and a highlight of the cultural calendar for both children and adults.

Organised by Gavà City Council and Fundació Xarxa d'Espectacles, the festival is now an established name on the international puppet theatre scene and a much-loved cultural tradition in the city.

Every year, around twenty companies from Catalonia, different parts of Spain and other countries take part, bringing their performances to Gavà. During the second weekend of May, venues across the city become stages filled with magic and imagination. Alongside the performances, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, workshops and a craft market, making it a great opportunity for the whole family to discover and enjoy the world of puppetry.
